Overview & Highlights

Nestled in the heart of Goldsboro, NC, Restaurante Las Maracas offers an authentic taste of Honduran cuisine that is as warm and inviting as the community it serves. From the moment you step inside this charming eatery at 1104 N William St, you are embraced by a home-like atmosphere where friendly smiles and genuine hospitality set the stage for a memorable dining experience.

Las Maracas specializes in traditional Honduran flavors that dance on your palate with vibrant richness and comforting familiarity. The menu boasts a variety of enticing options, but some standouts truly capture the essence of this culinary gem. Their Pollo con Tajadas—crispy fried chicken paired with perfectly fried ripe plantain slices—is a customer favorite, praised for its juicy, well-seasoned chicken and the sweet, tender contrast of the tajadas. Whether you choose Tajadas de Maduro or the slightly tangy Tajadas de Guineo, these side dishes provide just the right balance to any meal, expertly elevating every bite.

If you are craving something heartier, the Carne Asada is a must-try, offering richly marinated grilled beef that is tender and flavorful. For those who prefer smaller, satisfying accompaniments, selections like Chorizo and Pollo Frito add bursts of savory delight, all thoughtfully priced to encourage sampling and sharing.

For an adventurous palate, the Zambos preparados con carne molida is a hearty choice, combining seasoned ground meat with Honduran traditions that promise layers of flavor and satisfying textures. Complement these dishes with a refreshing cold beer from their selection—Modelo, Corona, Port Royal, Heineken—or indulge in a zesty Michelada to enhance the overall experience.

The true charm of Restaurante Las Maracas lies not only in its food but in the heartfelt care that goes into every dish. As many patrons have noted, the kitchen feels like it’s run by a Honduran auntie who pours love and tradition into her cooking, creating flavors that linger long after your meal. Whether you’re a Honduran cuisine aficionado or trying it for the first time, the staff is eager to offer recommendations and guide you through the menu, ensuring an enjoyable and personalized visit.

Walked in- asked for a recommendation, and it did not disappoint! Pollo Tajadas was soooo good! 10 out of 10 recommend, I’ll be back to try the other menu items too. Everyone was friendly and personable. Nice home like feel!

Food very well priced and truly authentic Honduran cuisine. You can tell the cook is a Honduran auntie making food with care.

Delicious Wake up your taste buds! Great Food - Highly recommended

Super delicious food with friendly service. I asked for recommendations since I had never had Honduran food and was very happy. I will be coming back!

Absolutely love this place! I highly recommend Las Maracas - make sure you ask questions about the menu if you're unsure about anything. Tonight we had pastelitos, tacos, and pollo con tajadas. It was all so good. I love Mexican food too, but it's important to understand that *this is not Mexican food*. I drank banana soda with my meal and brought home hibiscus tea and horchata because they were both so good. This will definitely be a go-to for lunch and dinner!

Food was great and fresh. Owner was very nice. Will definitely be back to try more items.

There isn't lot in Goldsboro but if you are looking for authentic food, this is a good place. I've never had Honduras food. I had a delicious meal and tried a new beer. The man who took my order was very nice.
